Privacy policy

When you use MoneyPlanza you may enter: an email address (on the website it is only a label for your guest workspace; in the app it is used to sign you in with a one-time code), your name, and optionally your mobile number, city and employment; your monthly income and expenses; and in the app, daily spends, goals, shared bills with friends' names, payment status and app settings.

On the website, this information is saved only in your browser's local storage. In the app, it is saved only in the app's private storage on your phone. Your plans, spends and other details are not sent to MoneyPlanza servers and we do not have a copy.

Because it stays on your device, clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes it, and we cannot recover it for you.

To sign in to the app, your email address is sent to our login provider, Supabase, which emails you a one-time code. Supabase keeps only your email address and sign-in times, to confirm it is you. Your plans and other details are not sent to it.

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages securely. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Reminders are scheduled on your phone, not sent from a server. Pay now opens the payment app you choose (such as Google Pay or PhonePe), and Manage opens a provider's own website — those services' own privacy policies apply there. MoneyPlanza never sees your card details, bank details or UPI PIN. Messages you share on WhatsApp are sent by you, through WhatsApp.

App lock uses your phone's fingerprint, face or screen PIN. MoneyPlanza never receives or stores your biometric data.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone.

You can view and edit your details at any time, and delete everything MoneyPlanza saved on your device — see how to delete your data. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may also contact us about your data.

MoneyPlanza is intended for adults managing their own finances and is not directed at children under 18.

If we add features that change how data is handled — for example accounts and cloud sync — we will update this policy and the date above before those features go live.
